Bike Adventure

Ralph and I biked over 25 miles today--but we packed a lot into that: going around lake Calhoun, experiencing the Greenway, cruising down the sweet hill on West River Parkway near the U of M, crossing the Stone Arch Bridge, going under Target Field, and riding on the first ever Bike Freeway! This is us AFTER the bike ride.

Cabin TIme!

60 degree weather wasn't going to stop me from going jet-skiing at Track's cabin! I think the ride made Tracy blue though...

Happy Birthday Erica!

No it's not Erica's birthday today! BUT I finally delivered on my birthday present which was a lovely evening together. How we knew the night was a success: Erica checked into 5 places and got mega points (which puts her into the king's square?).

Homemade Juicy Lucys

Ben and Betsy had Jeff, Erika, and me over for some homemade juicy lucys! As you can see, Ben has decided to go with a mixture of many cheeses including bleu and pepperjack. I'm thinking if it's just made with bleu cheese it could have a new name: The Juicy Bleucy! (Editors note: Shoot, it looks like someone has already come up with that idea...)

Twin Ballpark

My family playing at the Twin Ballpark at Trout Lake Camps. I think this may be the first time we have ever played a sport together! If you look closely, you can see Erik hitting the ball possibly towards first base. If you look even closer, you'll notice the painstaking work that went into designing this Target Field replica!

Benches

My whole family was at Trout Lake installing 15 benches throughout the camp. My favorites are the ones at the point and the boat docks. This particular bench is my dad's bench. It looks out towards Trout Lake from the boat docks. For me, it elicits happy memories of boating and spending time on the water.

Rocketball

James Rocketing the ball at Golden Eagle in Fifty Lakes. Unfortunately, he rocketed it right into the woods. 4 times.

Little-known fact: I LOVE old photography. This is from a book my grandparents lent to me. As you can see, way back in 1903 cars STILL weren't allowed on Nicollet Avenue (horses only!).
